Carve Out – Is a carve out of the equity only component of the Thornburg Investment Income Builder Composite and represents actual data of a portfolio within that Composite that has historically not allocated assets to fixed income. This information is relevant because the Equity Income Builder Composite is modeled on the equity only component of the Investment Income Builder Composite. Thornburg has not managed separate accounts tha t invest only in equities using the Income Builder strategy. The carved out data presented herein represents the equity only component that is managed as a single strategy portfolio with equity investments and may not reflect the impact that material economic and market factors might have had on the portfolio m ana ger's decision making. There can be no assurance that an equity only portfolio managed separately would have achieved similar results over the same time frame.
