Scott Martin is a private wealth consultant for Thornburg Investment Management, focusing on registered investment advisors (RIAs), family offices and bank trust. He has extensive experience working with all parts of the advisor community.
Prior to joining Thornburg, Scott was a director within the institutional RIA market at Lord Abbett & Co. He also served as a regional vice president for both RidgeWorth Capital and Pioneer Investments. Before starting a career in asset management, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army and was awarded both the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor in combat.
Scott has a BA in environmental science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a MA in economics from the University of Colorado, Denver. Additionally, he is registered with FINRA with a Series 7, 66 and 63. He lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife, Katie; daughter, Ellie; and Australian Shepherd, Ruby. He enjoys anything outdoors including skiing, hiking and motorcycle travel.
