Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director
Scott is the chief technology officer for Thornburg Investment Management, responsible for leading the Information Technology Department and developing and executing strategic technology initiatives across the entire firm. He has nearly three decades of experience driving information technology initiatives at leading investment management firms.
Prior to joining Thornburg, Scott spent over eight years as chief technology officer for First Quadrant, a Pasadena-based boutique investment advisor specializing in systematic implementations of alternative strategies. Prior to First Quadrant, Scott was head of technology for Commercial Industrial Finance Corp., a New York–based corporate and structured credit investment firm serving institutional investors globally via collateralized loan obligations. Earlier in his career, Scott worked in various technology leadership and software development positions with Citigroup Alternative Investments, Deutsche Bank, SAC Capital and UBS.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in computer science engineering from the University of Alabama.
