
Lucinda Candal
Head of Brand and Content and Managing Director
Lucinda Candal is head of brand and content at Thornburg Investment Management, where she leads the firm’s integrated brand strategy, content development, and client experience initiatives. In her role, Lucinda oversees internal sales, digital engagement, thought leadership, value-add programming, and events—ensuring that all client-facing content and experiences reflect a consistent, high-quality, and client-centric approach. She collaborates across the firm to deliver clear, engaging messaging and solutions across platforms.
Lucinda joined Thornburg in 2020 as a member of the inside sales team and was quickly promoted to advisor solutions consultant and team lead. In 2021, she took on leadership of the internal sales desk, and in 2022 became director of inside sales and client service, driving results and deeper engagement across Thornburg’s intermediary sales team.
She later served as chief of staff to Thornburg’s former CEO and then as co-head of sales and marketing enablement. In that role, she applied her client-first perspective and operational leadership to support strategic planning and execution across key business functions. In 2024, she was named head of content and client services and assumed her current role in 2025.
Before joining Thornburg, Lucinda worked as an associate financial advisor at Waddell & Reed and held leadership positions in banking and retail. She also served as director of studies and taught English as a Second Language to business and financial professionals in China, South Korea, Spain, Portugal, and Brazil.
Originally from New Zealand, Lucinda earned her BA with honors in English from the University of Auckland. She holds FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses.
