Jodan Ledford
Head of Institutional and Strategic Initiatives | Managing Director
Jodan Ledford is the head of institutional and strategic initiatives at Thornburg Investment Management, responsible for the institutional client channel and the firm’s strategic initiatives portfolio, with accountability for enterprise execution, prioritization and long-term value creation. Jodan works across leadership to ensure that strategy, capital allocation and operating capabilities remain aligned.
Before joining Thornburg in 2024, he was CEO of Smart USA, a retirement fintech provider. Previously, Jodan served as chief client officer at Legal & General Investment Management America, Inc., where he led a team across sales, marketing, investment solutions, product strategy, and portfolio management.
Earlier in his career, Jodan was an executive director at UBS Global Asset Management, responsible for investment solutions for U.S. institutional clients. He also worked as an associate in J.P. Morgan’s investment banking division, developing risk management strategies for companies with large pensions. Jodan started his career as an actuarial analyst at Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
Jodan holds a MS in applied statistics from the University of Miami and a BA in mathematics from Emory University.
