Gladys Xiques

Global Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director

Gladys Xiques is global chief compliance officer for Thornburg Investment Management, where she oversees the global compliance program for the firm. Prior to joining Thornburg in 2025, she was the global chief compliance officer and group managing director at Los Angeles–based TCW Group, a global asset management firm. She started as deputy chief compliance officer at TCW in 2015 and became the global chief compliance officer in 2021.

Earlier in her career, Gladys was a director and compliance counsel for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. in New York, where she covered the capital markets business and the distribution of KKR funds and products. She was also a vice president in the legal department for Barclays Wealth, formerly Lehman Brothers, where she advised the broker dealer and investment advisory businesses in the wealth management division and also served as a senior counsel for MetLife.

Gladys holds a BA in public policy from Brown University and a JD from the George Washington University Law School. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and New York and is currently a trustee at Brown University.
